January 2013 update.

In spite of downward trends, few here in Brazil realize that in North America, Europe and Japan, the game is winding up.The same system that caused this never-ending 'crisis' is doubling-down here. TV is frantically feeding an endless stream of American, French and Japanese car ads, for the first time ever. Hey cars have made everyone everywhere else debt slaves and created ecological mayhem worldwide, so why not have more of the same here! For years it was bus and train and metro and taxis and easy credit was mostly aimed at homes and home appliances. Before that it had been mostly beer ads and sexy nearly-naked dancing around some cheap product and a push for tourism inside Brazil, but now it's all about private cars. If you watch TV understanding the manipulation and intent it's all very perverse. On the other hand it's easy to enjoy TVviewing since it's always free language lessons coupled with a head massage. Hakuna Matata! Why worry! As long as women feel loved and men have hard dicks, right?

If you click the links, you'll find the galleries, the bio, the journal are now back on-line. Some guys whose opinion is to be respected, think it's good to keep a 'presence'. Hope they're right. Better to be on deck when the ship goes down, ha! Tranquillo.

Those of you who've followed my art, know that for awhile now I've been focusing on other stuff, tightening down the hatches, and keeping an eye on the charts to see just how and where my little boat should go.

Some say damn the torpedos, full steam ahead. But that sometimes gets things out of balance. Once on a little stage in Copenhagen Ulf and I were dancing a nude pas de deux doing our best to upstage an aging transvestite crooning "If He Walked into my Life" from Mame when she suddenly stopped cold (for dramatic effect) and then screamed at the new stage manager to "get the light off those bitches and back on me!". It seems at times one's presence on the stage of life can be wasted when the psychos demand attention. I figure them to keep the show going until my next entrance. With a little luck and new numbers, the stage might one day once more welcome me home. But now, for awhile, I'm waiting in the wings, making myself more unavailable to 'strangers passing by with their eyes' (e.e.cummngs).

It could be that our mission is being, accomplished whatever the delay or detour. Anyway, with a sense of humor and/or sarcastic wit, there's plenty to keep one laughing while trying to figure out the best moves to make. Hakuna Matata. Don't Worry, Be Happy.

Please feel free to contact me. I'm still painting, feel great, enjoying life and have much to share.
